Every year the county Nykvarn gives out a calendar to the people that live in the area. In 2021 they decided to step it up a notch and hired me to take pictures in the area during 2020. They had a clear vision of what they wanted, so my job was to go out and photograph when the conditions were like their mood board.
Nykvarn is the smaller town outside of Stockholm where I come from. They have beautiful nature and wanted to celebrate it with the yearly calendar. So in 2020, we decided to work together on the calendar.
During 2020 I spent many early mornings and late nights outside in nature to get one image every month that they were happy with. They had a clear vision of what they wanted, and I matched the photos accordingly. It was an enjoyable project and especially exciting to celebrate the nature I grew up in.
In the end, we had a calendar of 12 images that we were delighted with. The calendar was sent to all the residents of the county. It was exciting to see your photos in almost every house you entered during 2021.
